With chilly weather comes drier skin. This is a light and easily absorbed body oil, but still moisturizing and healing to any patches of chapped skin. The scent is a nice floral reminder of spring! For extra healing, especially for very chapped skin or eczema, try infusing your oil first. Chamomile, lavender, calendula, and comfrey are all very restorative options.
3 T grapeseed oil (if you want a heavier oil, you can replace all or part of this with olive oil)
2 T castor oil
1 T jojoba oil
1 T safflower oil
5 drops lavender essential oil
5 drops ylang ylang essential oil
5 drops geranium essential oil
5 drops rose essential oil (or use a rose dilution like this)
5 drops neroli essential oil (or use a neroli dilution like this)
3 drops rosemary essential oil
3 drops carrot seed essential oil
1/4 tsp Vitamin E oil
1 dropper red raspberry seed oil (optional)
4 oz dark glass bottle
Add all ingredients to sterilized glass bottle, using a sterilized funnel if necessary. Close tightly and shake well. Give it another shake before application. Apply after toweling off from the shower for best absorption. A little goes a long way! Go on your way with soft, delicately floral smelling skin.
