All of the essential oils in this blend are excellent for headaches of all kinds. The scent alone is calming, uplifting, and immediately starts to reduce pain. Peppermint is a mild analgesic (meaning it relieves pain). It’s cooling, helps with stress and focus, and has even been shown to help with migraines. Eucalyptus helps focus, has a fresh and cool feeling, and is anti-inflammatory and anti-spasmodic. Lavender helps with stress, is also an analgesic, and is especially good for tension headaches. Rosemary is stimulating, helps concentration and fatigue, and is another analgesic. Frankincense and vetiver help with stress and focus.
**Please note that it is important to avoid concentrated essential oils if you are pregnant or epileptic.
2 T grapeseed, safflower, jojoba oil, or other neutral-scented carrier oil
25 drops peppermint essential oil
20 drops eucalyptus essential oil
15 drops lavender essential oil
10 drops rosemary essential oil
10 drops frankincense essential oil
optional: 2 drops vetiver essential oil
Glass roller ball
Remove the cap of the roller ball and add all ingredients. Securely reattach the ball top and shake well. Apply as needed to temples, forehead, and wrists and inhale deeply. You can also add a few drops of each essential oil to your bathwater for a relaxing and pain-relieving bath. Keep essential oils out of direct sunlight.
