Activated Charcoal Mask for Oily and Combination Skin

This mask is good for oily and acneic skin, or as a spot mask for those with combination skin or when you have a particularly pesky pimple. The clay and charcoal literally draw out impurities from the skin, and the baking soda and turmeric are excellent for blackheads. This mask smooths and clears the skin, and tightens pores.

mask

2 T bentonite clay

1 T activated charcoal (this is NOT just charcoal from the fireplace!)

2 tsp green clay

2 tsp kaolin (white) clay

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp moringa powder (optional)

Combine all ingredients in a clean, dry jar. To use, mix 1-2 tsp. in your palm with enough water to make a thin paste. Apply to cleansed, damp skin. Allow to dry for 7-9 minutes, then remove with a clean, damp cloth. Use 1-2 times weekly. Always remember to do a patch test on your wrist before use, especially if you have sensitive skin!
